Importing Video from NML Equipment

How to Import Video from VHS, DV & DVD

1. Turn on DVD/ VHS/ DV Device
2. Make sure that the firewire cables/ analog box cables are connected Select which device you would like to use (DVD/ VHS or DV)
3. Open iMovie
4. Switch from editing mode to importing mode in iMovie (chose from bold headings below)

5. Press play on the appropriate device
6. Input should be playing in iMovie preview screen
7. Press import or space bar when ready to import

8. Press import or the space bar to stop import
9. Switch back to editing mode to begin editing

For DVD (DVD through firewire or analog box to iMovie)
Select Device

For DV (DV through firewire to DVD or iMovie)
DV to iMovie
Select Device
Press ‘input select’ until ‘DV’ is available

For VHS (VHS through analog box to iMovie)
Select Device
Make sure VHS device is turned on and that analog box is properly connected
Press ‘input select’ until ‘L-1’ is available
